I have a favorite breakfast place, The Hi Spot Cafe in the Madrona neighborhood. It’s located in a very San Francisco-like house and serves delicious breakfast. Known for their scones. Also delectable. Lattes are good too. Chai as well! And I like eggs when I go out….. Oh heck, everything is yummy!

So I have brought all my ladies there, I think I’m making it my girl date breaky spot 🙂 because what female doesn’t adore brunch? Breakfast? YES.

Pictured was my breakfast a couple days ago when I took my SO’s sister when she came to visit 🙂 I took the opportunity to take her to one of my favorite places! I only ate half the scone… Raspberry hazelnut, seriously yum! And took the rest home for the next morning 🙂

Or so I thought.

Later that evening we went out, leaving the pups at home. I had my blondie and her BFF, Bella. Bella is naughty and she takes human food and sometimes dog treats off the kitchen counter and eats them.

Do you know where this is going? I’m just recovering from it now. I was so looking forward to enjoying that half of scone with the raspberry jelly I took home as well.

We head down the road and I realize I hadn’t put my scone up out of the dogs reach. We make the decision to turn around really quick, since I was only gone maybe five minutes.

I come back inside to find my little take out box EMPTY. The dogs scarved the scone up and also got into the trash for dessert.

I know Bella is cute and she knows better but I cannot believe she still got into it within a quick few minutes that I was gone!!

So now my boyfriend owes me a scone because his dog ate mine 😉

Mariah, Bella and I had our first girls sleepover! You might not think this a special occasion kind of life event, but it is. So much furbaby loves!

Mariah and I are a strong pair, you know that. Bella and her human are a strong pair as well. Bella had a little bit (sarcasm, a lotta bit) of separation anxiety when I first met her. Lately she has been showing preference for my house and not her human’s boat.

Disclaimer: I do not take *any* pleasure in the fact that she may or may not love me to the same degree or more degrees than her human (again, sarcasm). Of course I LOVE IT.

So her human asks me if she can stay the night and I’m game for whatever, but of course I want her to stay. Two pups to keep me warm in bed? What kind of brainless girl would I be to say no!? And at that point I was falling in and out of sleep, slurring my words. Who knows what discussion really took place 😉 day functioning is e-x-h-a-u-s-t-i-n-g!

So we fiercely snuggled the night away. All went well. No panic attacks from Bella, not too much jealously from my blondie. There was some puke waiting for me in the living room this morning, but that’s a minor detail………….. 🙂

Pink lil elephant squeaker for being a good good girl. As I type this now, Mariah is snuggled on her bed snoozing. I think she’s pooped! Please excuse any of the bits and pieces of cardboard in the background of the pics – Mariah likes to open (and consequently, shred) cardboard boxes. I have yet to clean her victory. She also likes to roll in it, pride all over her smiley, tongue hanging out kinda face 🙂

It was our first visit to All The Best pet store, I usually frequent Petco for her dog food and Mudbay for other goodies. It was nice! Lots of good toys, fun treats, doggie wear, and misc pet items. Mariah got a new rain jacket since hers is kinda flimsy and moves a lot when it’s a windy rainy day.

Still keeping her pink paw print rain jacket for those lighter rain days, but this one is heavy duty and fleece lined and she looks ADORBS in it! 🙂

Full fledge dog lady problems today. Oh man.

Gotta go back and get Mariah and Bella proper dog Christmas stockings and appropriate stuffers – we saw some good stuff!

Awake this morning at 0630. EARLY.

I slept after work the night before last and then stayed awake for a short while. And….slept again until early this morning. I made a morning vet appointment for my blondie hoping that I could be fully day functioning and have a great day ahead. It was an accomplishment waking up and staying awake, so far today is a happy (yes, even for a Monday) day indeed!

Mariah’s appointment was just a well doggie check in. And she received a clean bill of doggie health from the fine doctor. As a dog momma I was a little nervous (I mean, what dog moms wouldn’t be worried about their fur baby 24/7) but everything was fine. She was even a good girl for all the techs and the vet. Everyone loved her and told me she was so cute and so well behaved. So great! I love her lots. Vaccines due next year 🙂 She did smell like a dog cookie when we got in the car – she was most definitely overloaded with goodies. Can’t say she complained!

So now we are in a coffee shop in Ballard….

This was pre-burp hehe. Cookies coming up a little, perhaps?

She loves going to human places and chilling, watching. Cupcake place next door…..

Might pop into a pet store while we are over here, I’m sure Mariah needs a new toy 😉 She loves today!

Every morning between 6-8AM my dog is ready to go out and starving.  Some unfortunate mornings she wakes up at 4AM and I have to coax her back to sleep.  

My happy lab is even happier when I ask her if its breakfast time.  We love breakky!  And when she’s really happy she enthusiastically wags her tail.  Wiggle butt.
