This Cali born girl is ready for S-P-R-I-N-G!
Loving all the baby buds, the colorful blossoming that’s happening in my neighborhood. I think this is the first time in my young life I have been so eager for springtime to approach. Usually I just listen to others groan and moan about the cold weather and just accept mother nature’s cycle. I try to find beauty in each of the four seasons. I might have mentioned (but only once or twice) the rain and grey this winter but hey, I’m still adjusting 🙂 We have had a few sunny days lately and I feel like a local – raving mad about the beautiful sunshine. Call me crazy!
In preparation for springtime, I decided to make pistachio and cranberry cuppycakes.
It worked out very nicely – I was able to make some for my aunt’s birthday. Sweet! They were a little dense and heavy and because my oven is as stubborn as my Japanese grandfather, my first batch was a little more brown than I prefer. The second was much better and I’m hoping that I put those in my aunt’s gift box…
I ordered some things from Nuts.com (LOVE) so if those come in time I may be making festive cupcakes for my lovely work people. Stay tuned!

P.S. I’m also ready to wear my pretty pink birks. And my wedges. And my skirts. And dresses. And my sunnies.
XOXO

I love it girl! Those look delicious 🙂 I also am very excited and hopeful for spring!
